What we offer you.
In this key role, you actively contribute to defining the framework conditions for the professional reorientation of employees following reorganisations and provide a central contribution to the SBB's social responsibility. You lead, with hierarchical responsibility, employees who have lost their jobs, balancing individual support with clear company and labour law requirements. As a member of the management team of the Labour Market Centre and Anyway SBB, you combine strategic development with operational management and define the future of the Jobcentre throughout Switzerland. You can expect a complex and dynamic environment with a wide scope for manoeuvre, a variety of stakeholders, and a tangible impact for staff and the company. You will find benefits such as free GA travelcards, discounted foreign trips – also for family members – on our website under Benefits.
What you can set in motion.
- As Jobcentre Manager, you take overall responsibility for supporting staff after job loss, from prevention to hierarchical and disciplinary management within the Jobcentre through to completion of the new professional orientation, in close collaboration with the advisers.
- In the role of product and process manager, you are responsible for the specialist management of the new professional orientation, ensuring good coordination with advisers, equal treatment of staff, and sustained support during the job search until a solution is found.
- You conduct challenging personnel interviews and decisions with respect and professionalism. This also includes critical feedback and managing complex labour law situations up to contract termination.
- Together with the line management, you coordinate internal temporary assignments, conduct aptitude interviews, and ensure that job-seeking employees are employed functionally and integrated into the SBB.
- Through active networking with relevant HR stakeholders, managers, and top management, you raise awareness of the consequences of reorganisations for employees losing their jobs and thus promote end-to-end thinking from strategic-conceptual considerations to concrete support of employees.
- For the financial and operational management of the Jobcentre, you use indices, analyses, and controlling tools, derive measures, develop offers, processes, and management tools effectively and innovatively, thereby ensuring the strategic refinement of the Jobcentre.
What you bring with you.
- As an integrative, resilient leadership personality capable of managing conflicts, you have experience leading employees or teams in complex change and management contexts and can set boundaries personally and professionally.
- Thanks to your strong communication skills, presence, and sense of effectiveness, you can take command even in difficult situations, engage various stakeholders for your projects, and build lasting relationships.
- With your outgoing personality and networking skills, you collaborate purposefully and profitably with different interest groups.
- You have experience using indices, analyses, and controlling tools as well as defining measurable objectives, developing targeted concepts, and making data-driven decisions based on qualitative and quantitative data.
- This role requires a university-level master’s degree in business administration, psychology, labour or social sciences, or a related field. You also have experience in project management, consulting, and coaching, as well as knowledge of labour integration, new professional orientation, reintegration, job loss, collective labour agreements (CLA), and regional employment offices (REO).
- Written and spoken German proficiency (C2) is required for this position. Knowledge of other national languages is an advantage.
