Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced Construction Manager Building Construction for the independent realisation of demanding building construction projects in Eastern Switzerland. You will take operational responsibility during the execution phase and manage costs, schedules, and quality. Another focus is on tendering, awarding, construction administration, and billing as well as coordinating all project participants. The position offers a varied role with high personal responsibility and direct connection to the construction site.
Responsibilities:
Independent construction management and coordination of demanding new build, conversion, and renovation projects
Responsibility for cost, schedule, and quality management throughout the entire execution phase
Preparation of tenders and specifications considering NPK and SIA standards
Conducting offer comparisons, awards, and award negotiations with contractors and suppliers
Coordination of contractors, specialist planners, authorities, and other project participants
Supervision of construction execution on site and control of professional and contractual compliance
Organisation and leadership of construction meetings, management of pending issues, and documentation of construction progress
Verification of measurements, contractor invoices, change orders, and extra work
Management of construction administration and cost control using Messerli and other digital tools
Creation and ongoing updating of schedules and construction programmes
Ensuring compliance with relevant Swiss building regulations, SIA standards, and quality requirements
Support during acceptances, defect rectification, handover, and final billing of projects
Qualifications:
Training as a certified construction manager, technician HF building planning architecture/building construction, architect FH or comparable construction-technical qualification
Several years of professional experience in construction management of building construction projects in Switzerland
Sound knowledge of SIA standards, NPK systematics, and Swiss construction processes
Practical experience in tendering, awarding, cost control, and construction billing
Good user knowledge of Messerli construction administration and Microsoft Excel
Experience in schedule, change order, and contract management of building construction projects
Very good German language skills, spoken and written
