Assistant to the Chief Physician Clinical Pharmacology

Temporary position until 30.04.2027

The Clinical Pharmacology team provides consultative advice to inpatient and outpatient doctors in the areas of drug therapy / drug safety and conducts drug studies with healthy volunteers and patients. To cover a maternity leave, we are looking for a committed individual to support us actively from 01.09.2026 to 30.04.2027. An exciting and varied role awaits you.

What to expect

• Coordination of the various activities of the Chief Physician and senior doctors of the department (in research, clinic and teaching)
• Appointment planning and coordination (including consultations)
• Correspondence in German and English (French advantageous)
• Personnel and financial tasks (Insel Group and University of Bern)
• Planning and coordination of lectures
• General secretarial duties such as minute-taking, office supplies ordering, etc.

What you bring

• Training as a commercial clerk or medical secretary with several years of professional experience
• Dynamic, independent and flexible personality
• Organisational and communication talent and confident use of Office programmes (especially Word and Excel)
• Very good German and good English skills (written and spoken)
• Knowledge of medical terminology as well as the financial and personnel systems of the University of Bern is an advantage
