Client:
A non-profiting making organisation with a mission to provide value to its members through a forum for sharing ideas, engaging the industry and its stakeholders, facilitating business opportunities and promoting the highest standards in the industry.
Based in Geneva, the association counts more than 260 members from all corners of the world. The team in Geneva is small, close-knit offering a friendly collaborative working environment.
Function:
Reporting to the Executive Secretary, this function supervises a team of 3 and is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Secretariat. Tasks are many and various but include:
- Overall management of the computing facilities, HR function and staffing, database and website development, member communications and meetings, marketing and promotion of the association, verbal and written interaction with members and the public.
- Editor for the quarterly newsletter
- manages overall Yearbook content with publisher
- Acts as a secretary to the Board of Directors, writes and distributes meeting minutes
- Travels to the annual convention, managing the board meetings, elections, guest speakers and presentations
Profile:
- English mother tongue or fluent and ideally fluent French
- 5+ years experience in roles of increasing responsibility in administration and office management
- Experience working in the non-profit sector
- Previous experience working at Board level
- Proven experience managing events, organising Board meetings and taking minutes
- Excellent written skills (preparation of newsletters)
- Willing to travel internationally 4 times per year
