Role:
As a Voice System Engineer, you accompany communication solutions throughout the entire lifecycle, from conception through implementation to stable operation. The focus is on unified communications platforms, SIP trunks, as well as the associated network and server infrastructure. Technical depth counts here more than off-the-shelf standard solutions. Those who analyse systematically and document thoroughly will find an environment with demanding projects and a lot of personal responsibility.
Responsibilities:
You plan, install, and configure voice and IT systems including gateways, session border controllers, and end devices.
You monitor systems using monitoring tools, analyse faults, and resolve errors down to the protocol level, for example via SIP traces.
Furthermore, you handle technical customer enquiries in 2nd and 3rd level support.
You gather requirements, create solution concepts, and advise on integration, routing, and numbering plans.
This also includes migrating existing telephony environments to cloud-based operating models.
Additionally, you document systems, configurations, and project steps in a comprehensible manner.
Qualifications:
You have a technical basic education in computer science, supplemented by further training or certifications.
You have at least 3 years of experience operating voice, network, or server infrastructures.
You are proficient in Microsoft 365 (M365) including Teams telephony as well as in Windows Server environments.
You know TCP/IP, VLAN, QoS, VPN, and firewalling and understand how voice quality is created in the network.
Initial automation with PowerShell or scripting comes easily to you.
Moreover, you communicate confidently in German and understand technical English without difficulty. A category B driving licence completes your profile.
