Your tasks – our position
Operation & continuous improvement (Run)
- Level 2 support: handling tickets, diagnosing and resolving common incidents on virtualisation, storage, backup, Windows and Linux infrastructures.
- Daily monitoring of backup jobs, tracking and handling infrastructure alerts, checking reports, dealing with common failures, escalating complex cases.
- Routine operation of virtualisation platforms, maintenance tasks, applying patches.
- Monitoring the operation of storage solutions (Pure Storage, DELL/EMC, Brocade).
- Performing operational tasks defined by the ICT System Engineer / ICT Technical Architect.
- Installation, configuration and operational maintenance of Windows and Linux servers, storage infrastructures and data centres.
- Coordination with the network team for integrating requirements into server and virtualisation infrastructures.
- Participation as an operational actor in infrastructure and architecture projects, without responsibility for project management or coordination.
- Participation in on-call duties according to schedule.
- Writing and maintaining detailed infrastructure documentation, in French or German.
- Technical documentation in English.
- Adherence to defined escalation procedures in case of unresolved level 2 incidents.
- Application of security directives and rules issued by the security department and reporting any observed non-compliance.
Your skills – our expectations
- Training in IT (CFC, apprenticeship or equivalent training).
- Proven experience in level 2 IT support / system administration, ideally in a hospital environment.
- Confirmed skills in installation and administration of Windows, Linux servers and SAN storage systems.
- Intermediate or advanced knowledge in virtualisation (VMware vSphere, ESXi), backup (VEEAM), storage (Pure Storage, DELL/EMC, Brocade).
- Intermediate or advanced knowledge in PowerShell scripting.
- Keeping the monitoring system (WhatsUp Gold) up to date.
- Good team spirit and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently on defined tasks, in close collaboration with the ICT System Engineer / ICT Technical Architect.
- Rigor, reliability and a service-oriented attitude.
- Native language: German or French, with good knowledge of the other language.
- Intermediate knowledge of technical English.
