Structural Engineer Building Construction (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a structural engineer for project planning in structural building engineering. You will work on diverse new build and refurbishment projects in the areas of residential, industrial and commercial buildings and develop structural solutions in concrete, timber and steel construction. The focus is on structural design, static calculations, excavation pits and constructive detail work from the initial planning phase to realisation. Depending on experience, you will increasingly manage projects and subprojects independently and work closely with structural engineers and draftsmen.

Responsibilities:

• Independent planning and processing of structures in structural building engineering

• Planning and dimensioning of residential, industrial and commercial buildings for new build and refurbishment projects

• Development and dimensioning of structures in concrete, timber and steel construction

• Execution of static calculations and structural analyses as well as preparation of the required verification documents

• Development and assessment of structural concepts and constructive variants considering cost-effectiveness and feasibility

• Planning and dimensioning of foundations, excavation pits and excavation pit supports

• Processing of refurbishments and existing structures including assessment and adaptation of existing structural elements

• Creation of calculation models, static verifications, technical reports and project documentation

• Coordination of structural planning with architects, specialist planners and draftsmen

• Technical support for planning and constructive detail design within the project team

• Handling projects from the concept and planning phase to execution and realisation

• Ensuring structural planning and dimensioning according to relevant SIA standards and Swiss building regulations

Qualifications:

• Completed studies as a structural engineer BSc/MSc FH/ETH or comparable technical university education

• Expertise in structural analysis, structural design and structural building engineering, initial professional experience advantageous

• Knowledge in concrete, steel and/or timber construction as well as ideally in planning excavation pits and foundations

• Good knowledge of relevant Swiss SIA standards as well as common static and calculation software

• Good German language skills, spoken and written
