Attached to the Drinking Water Gas Directorate, the Drinking Water Production unit's mission is to guarantee, at all times, the continuity of operation and maintenance of the canton’s drinking water production facilities. It notably ensures the proper functioning of treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs, distribution relays, the groundwater recharge station, the Jet d’eau, as well as the emergency diesel groups.

Your tasks will be as follows:
- Participate in maintenance, operation, assembly and troubleshooting activities of the Drinking Water Gas installations as well as installations operated on behalf of third parties;
- Contribute to the proper functioning of mechanical and hydraulic equipment necessary for the production and distribution of drinking water;
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the unit’s services and in enhancing SIG’s image with partners and clients;
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental rules during interventions;
- Collaborate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders within the unit’s activities.

You demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and know how to work rigorously, autonomously and with versatility. Available and possessing a good team spirit, you communicate easily with your interlocutors and adapt readily to varied technical environments.
You are recognised for your initiative as well as your ability to keep informed of technical developments in your field of activity.
You possess:
- Good knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics;
Mastery of equipment such as pumps, valves and other control and regulation devices;
Interest in technical equipment for the production and distribution of drinking water;
Ability to operate in a demanding technical environment and to learn new working methods.
Your academic background:
- Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as mechanic, polymechanic, mechatronics technician or equivalent training.
Job specifics
- Good general physical condition required;
- Aptitude to wear a respiratory protective device according to medical advice;
- Occasional heavy work and work in constrained positions;
- Participation in team work.
The salary will be calculated based on a reference annual gross salary of CHF 65,100.-- (100% basis) spread over thirteen payments, depending on your diploma.
