The Position

As a sales assistant and future Tea Sommelier, you are the face of our boutique in the heart of Lausanne. You introduce our customers to the world of tea, advise them with expertise, and offer them a unique shopping experience.

Step by step, you become a true Tea Sommelier, combining sales with solid expertise and a genuine passion for exceptional products.

Your Responsibilities

• Acquire solid knowledge about tea and continuously develop your expertise
• Welcome our customers as privileged guests and create a warm atmosphere
• Provide personalised, competent, and enthusiastic advice
• Actively share your passion for tea and its diversity with customers
• Contribute to achieving sales targets
• Develop customer relationships and encourage long-term loyalty
• Ensure a neat presentation of the boutique (product display, order, cleanliness)
• Handle daily operational tasks: till, stock management, receiving deliveries, opening and closing the boutique

Your Profile

• Initial experience in sales, ideally in the premium or delicatessen sector
• A keen sense of customer service and enjoyment of human contact
• An interest in gastronomy, tasting products, and especially tea
• A friendly, open, and dynamic personality
• Team spirit, as well as an autonomous and structured working style

Your Path to Becoming a Tea Sommelier

The role of Tea Sommelier was developed by Palais des Thés and embodies expert and passionate advice.

During your first year, you will follow comprehensive training at the "École du Thé", our in-house school, as well as practical training in the boutique. This training leads to the Tea Sommelier certificate. Once obtained, new career opportunities open up to you.
