As Head of Revenue Management & Medical Controlling, you bear overall responsibility for the strategic and operational development of revenue management and medical controlling. You ensure that our medical services are fully, correctly and compliantly recorded and billed, thereby creating an essential foundation for the sustainable economic development of our company.

As a member of the Executive Board, you actively contribute your professional and entrepreneurial perspective to corporate management. In doing so, you work closely with the clinics as well as the departments of medicine, nursing, finance, patient management, IT and quality management and consistently develop cross-departmental processes and structures.

Your Tasks

• Revenue Management: Manage and develop revenue management with the aim of fully, correctly and compliantly billing the medical services provided and sustainably securing revenues.
• Medical Controlling: Responsible for operational medical controlling and analyse services, revenues and contribution margins along the entire billing process.
• Leadership: Take on the professional and disciplinary leadership of the areas of medical coding, revenue, performance and rejection management and specifically develop your employees.
• Reporting & Analyses: Create meaningful key figures, analyses and reports to assess profitability and support the Executive Board in strategic and operational management.
• Interface Management: Coordinate collaboration between medicine, nursing, coding, patient management, finance, IT and quality management and optimise relevant processes and interfaces.
• Tariff Systems: Actively develop the application and implementation of tariff systems such as SwissDRG, ST Reha, TARDOC and outpatient flat rates.
• Tariff and Contract Negotiations: Conduct tariff and contract negotiations with payers and other partners to successful conclusion.
• Payer Management: Handle inquiries from insurers and their medical services and ensure professional audit and negotiation management.
• Project Management: Lead cross-departmental projects for process and revenue optimisation and drive the further development of the corresponding structures.

• Interface & Process Management: Coordinate central interfaces between medicine, nursing, coding, patient management, finance, IT and quality management. Together with the involved departments, you optimise and standardise processes and ensure efficient collaboration along the entire service chain.

• Budget: Responsible for the specific budget preparation of the clinics as well as their monitoring.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure compliance with tariff, regulatory and billing-relevant requirements within your area of responsibility and promote complete and high-quality service documentation.
• Statistics: Responsible for medical statistics and derive relevant insights for corporate management and case cost optimisation.
• Deputy: Act as deputy for the CEO during their absence and, together with the other members of the Executive Board, ensure the continuous management of the company.

Your Profile

• Education: You have a solid higher education, ideally an MBA, specific further training in finance, healthcare management or training in medical controlling.
• Experience: You bring experience in finance and accounting as well as several years of leadership experience in a senior role, for example in revenue management, medical controlling or as CFO of a smaller company.
• Tariff Knowledge: You have sound knowledge of SwissDRG, ST Reha, TARDOC and REKOLE.
• Controlling: You are experienced in budgeting, forecasting, scenario calculations, cost and profitability analyses as well as in building and applying KPI systems.
• Digitalisation: You have a strong affinity for digitalisation and automation processes and experience with modern ERP and BI systems, especially Power BI.
• Analytics: You think very analytically and conceptually, can evaluate large amounts of data and recognise financial and operational value drivers.
• Leadership: You lead a team with trust, develop employees and combine professional clarity with social sensitivity.
• Communication: You communicate clearly, appreciatively and appropriately for the audience and can confidently reconcile different interests.
• Drive for Design: You are an initiative-taking, dynamic personality with a strong drive for design and the ability to actively drive change.
• Problem Solving: You recognise challenges early, think ahead and find structured and sustainable solutions even with competing priorities.
