Head of Accounting Department

For over 60 years, the Ofac Group has been synonymous with evolution and professionalism. The majority of pharmacies in Switzerland use one or more products from the group daily. It is notably to enable pharmacies to navigate these changes under the best conditions that the Ofac Group recently launched Abilis, a secure digital health platform intended for all healthcare professionals as well as the general public.

To strengthen our Finance department, we are looking for a

Reporting to the Department Director (CFO), you will be responsible for a team of eight employees located in 3 cantons (Geneva, Bern and Zürich), in charge of the accounting for all the companies of the Ofac Group, as well as those of our clients.

Autonomous, precise, organised, with a good team spirit and resolutely solution-oriented, you have strong analytical skills and will be able to make proposals to meet the needs and expectations of our clients but also to optimise the processes and operational costs of our various structures.

Your main tasks

• Supervise the accounting and financial management of the group companies as well as our clients
• Ensure the quality of periodic and annual closings as well as the consolidation of the group accounts, in compliance with accounting standards and applicable regulatory requirements
• Coordinate account controls and audits, acting as the main contact for the audit bodies, in collaboration with internal teams and external auditors
• Ensure the continuous improvement of the accounting system (Abacus), its processes and its use within the different entities
• Develop and optimise financial reporting tools to provide Management with reliable, relevant information available within the required deadlines
• Harmonise and continuously improve accounting and financial processes within the group and with our clients

Your profile

• Holder of a federal diploma as a specialist in finance and accounting, fiduciary agent or equivalent training
• Solid experience in accounting, closing and consolidation, ideally acquired in a multi-company or fiduciary environment
• In-depth knowledge of an ERP or accounting system (Abacus is an asset)
• Experience in developing reporting tools and optimising financial processes
• Expertise in cost accounting, particularly in setting up or managing cost centre accounting, an asset
• Ability to coordinate audits and work independently with audit bodies
• Proven experience in leading and developing a team
• Native French speaker. A good level of German is an asset
