Stock Manager

Founded in 1887, Vernis Claessens distributes its paints, including Classidur, Montana and Jallut, through its 10 integrated points of sale in French-speaking Switzerland and more recently in German-speaking Switzerland, but also through around 200 distributors representing more than 1000 points of sale in Europe.

Vernis Claessens is a company of the French group Cromology, a European player in the decorative paint market, with iconic brands such as Tollens or Zolpan in France, MaxMeyer or Duco in Italy, Revetón in Spain or Robbialac in Portugal, and specialty products like Vernis Claessens paints. We are looking for a Stock Manager for our Geneva store to strengthen our team.

WHAT WE OFFER YOU AS TASKS:

• Manage daily goods receipts: unloading trucks, physical and delivery note checks, storage and management of leftovers.
• Organise and optimise the warehouse to ensure efficient stock and goods flow management.
• Prepare orders and ensure the availability of goods.
• Challenge and raise awareness among colleagues and technical sales representatives about respecting customer stocks and optimising goods dispatch.
• Carry out inventories and contribute to stock reliability.
• Manage, in collaboration with your manager, minimum and maximum stock levels.
• Define storage locations and ensure compliance.
• Ensure each reference has a clearly identified location.
• Check daily the proper upkeep and tidiness of the warehouse.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules, traffic directions and the permanent clearance of passage areas.
• Enforce tidiness rules and intervene immediately in case of inappropriate storage.
• Ensure the proper maintenance of racks and the correct use of storage spaces.
• Manage the driver-delivery person.
• Carry out delivery troubleshooting if necessary.
• Mix colours and participate in handling tasks.
• Manage waste (CRIDEC, pallets, plastics, cardboard, waste disposal) in compliance with the waste charter.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN YOUR PROFILE:

• You are autonomous, organised, results-oriented, persistent and motivated.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a logistician, painter, retail trade manager or equivalent training/experience.
• You hold a forklift truck licence.
• Experience in the paint sector is a real asset.
• You have perfect command of French, both spoken and written.
• You are comfortable with IT tools, especially MS Office and office software.
• You have a sense of responsibility and are particularly attentive to safety, order and work quality.
