Network Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)
Our ROCKEN partner is: a dedicated IT service provider specialising in managed services, cloud and security solutions, as well as individual consulting. With a passion for technology and a deep understanding of business requirements, they support companies in building modern workplaces, highly available infrastructures, and secure IT processes.
Role:
As a Network Infrastructure Engineer, you are responsible for the planning, implementation, and further development of modern network and security infrastructures for clients. You design and realise stable and secure network architectures, manage complex ICT environments, and assist clients in optimising their digital infrastructure. You work on demanding infrastructure projects and develop future-proof solutions in the areas of networking, cloud, and security.
Responsibilities:
Planning, design, and implementation of modern network infrastructures
Operation and further development of LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, and firewall solutions
Implementation of network security, zero trust, and ZTNA concepts
Analysis and resolution of complex faults in 2nd- and 3rd-level support
Execution and management of network and infrastructure projects
Technical customer consulting as well as creation of individual ICT concepts
Qualifications:
Completed training as an IT specialist in system technology or comparable IT further education
Several years of experience in network engineering and IT infrastructure
Sound knowledge in routing, switching, firewalling, and network security
Experience with VPN, WLAN, cloud networking, and modern security solutions
Knowledge of Microsoft, cloud, and system engineering is an advantage
Very good German language skills as well as a category B driving licence
