Nurse Specialist: Heart Valve Diseases

The medical department of Heart/Vessels combines the clinics of Cardiology, Angiology, as well as Heart and Vascular Surgery. The Inselspital offers comprehensive care in the diagnosis, therapy, and follow-up of patients with congenital, degenerative, and post-infectious heart valve diseases through an interdisciplinary team. As a complement to the heart valve team, consisting of six doctors and one nurse specialist, we are looking for a nurse specialist.

What to expect

• Pre-assessment, care, and follow-up of this patient population in both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings:
• Coordination of preliminary examinations and organisation of catheter-based heart valve interventions
• Assistance during invasive procedures
• Coordination of interprofessional and peri-interventional care and follow-up
• Conducting consultation hours
• Scientific collaboration on research projects, including patient recruitment for clinical studies in cooperation with research assistants

What you bring

• Several years of professional experience in nursing, preferably in the cardiovascular field
• A flair for actively shaping partnership-based interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration
• Strong communication skills and systemic thinking
• Independent yet team-oriented working style
• Good knowledge of German and French, preferably also English
