Team Leader Maintenance
Purpose of the Role
As a team leader, you ensure high availability and reliability of our production equipment in the Machining and Vulcanizing areas together with your team. You coordinate maintenance activities, lead and develop your employees, and drive continuous improvement of processes, safety, and equipment performance.
Responsibilities
- Ensure work, equipment, and machine safety in the Machining and Vulcanizing areas
- Plan and coordinate maintenance, repair, and optimisation work in close collaboration with production
- Ensure high equipment availability as well as sustainable fault rectification and preventive maintenance
- Analyse faults and implement sustainable corrective and improvement measures
- Lead and develop the maintenance team professionally and personally through coaching, target agreements, and regular feedback
- Plan personnel resources and coordinate deployments, holidays, and absences
- Plan, prioritise, and control maintenance activities based on operational key figures
- Contribute to budget planning and ensure budget compliance as well as economical use of resources
- Participate in and take on partial project management in improvement and investment projects, e.g. TPM, Lean Maintenance, and equipment optimisations
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards and promote a proactive maintenance culture
- Participate in on-call duty (approx. 3 to 4 shifts per year, each lasting one week)
Qualifications
- Completed technical basic training as a polymechanic, automation technician, mechatronics technician, or comparable qualification
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form as well as good English skills (at least level B1) Further training in maintenance, e.g. maintenance specialist FA, business processes/process technology (HF) or comparable higher vocational training
- Several years of experience in industrial maintenance of production equipment, special machines, machine tools, or automated systems
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in a technical or industrial environment
- Sound knowledge in systematic fault analysis and preventive maintenance
- High customer and service orientation towards internal stakeholders
- Structured, solution-oriented, and resilient working style with a hands-on mentality as well as the ability to set clear priorities even in demanding situations
- High integrity, reliability, and flexibility as well as willingness to take responsibility and continuously develop
- PLC knowledge (Siemens S7/TIA Portal or Beckhoff) is an advantage
