Role:
As a Security Operations Engineer, you are responsible for the security architecture holistically – from conception through implementation to operation, focusing on firewall, cloud, and endpoint security. As an identity expert, you ensure secure, smooth authentication processes and keep IAM services stable. You proactively detect vulnerabilities, analyse security events, and conduct consistent patch and vulnerability management. When things get critical, you keep a cool head during root cause analyses and are a reliable part of the IT on-call team. At the same time, you embody a "security-first" culture, advise colleagues, and strengthen security awareness through targeted awareness training.
Responsibilities:
You design, implement, and operate the security landscape with a focus on firewall, cloud, and endpoint security solutions
You are responsible for IAM services and ensure smooth authentication processes
You analyse security events, conduct proactive patch management, and perform vulnerability scans
You take on incident response, remain calm during root cause analyses, and actively support the IT on-call team
Additionally, you advise colleagues and promote a company-wide "security-first" mentality through active awareness training
Qualifications:
You have an IT education (EFZ/HF/FH) and at least 3 years of solid professional experience in security engineering
You are proficient in administering firewall solutions and ideally have experience with cloud platforms; SCIM and SAML are familiar to you
You use standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST as guidelines in your daily work
You are a solution-oriented team player with a "hands-on" mentality and understand security as a service for the company
You communicate confidently in German and fluently in English (B2/C1) – also with global technology partners
You work proactively, structured, and with a keen eye for security risks
