About Olympe-Neurocare
Olympe-Neurocare supports individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in their daily lives by offering personalised, respectful support tailored to each person’s needs.
Our interventions take place directly in the person’s living environment. We pay particular attention to their well-being, autonomy, habits, as well as respecting their pace and particularities.
As part of the development of our home support services in the various cantons of French-speaking Switzerland, we are looking for a specialised support worker wishing to commit concretely to working with people with ASD.
Your Role
You will work directly in the home of the person supported and help provide a safe, structured environment adapted to their needs.
Your support takes into account their functioning, habits, abilities, interests, as well as the objectives defined in collaboration with their family and the professionals involved.
The quality of the relationship, observation, and adaptation are at the heart of your mission.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Support the person in daily life activities and promote the development or maintenance of their autonomy
- Propose and carry out activities adapted to their interests, abilities, and objectives
- Build a trusting relationship with the person supported and their family
- Observe the person’s needs and adapt your support according to their functioning
- Respect their pace, habits, as well as their sensory and behavioural particularities
- Prevent and manage difficult or crisis situations in accordance with established protocols and instructions
- Ensure clear and relevant communication of information necessary for the follow-up of the support
- Respect confidentiality, safety rules, and the organisation’s procedures.
Profile Sought
We are looking for someone with significant experience in support and/or care, particularly in one of the following fields:
- social or socio-educational
- medico-social
- care
- support for people with disabilities
- support for people with autism spectrum disorder.
Practical experience with people with ASD is a major asset.
Beyond qualifications or professional background, we pay particular attention to your human and professional attitude.
You are a person who is:
- reliable, responsible, and punctual
- patient, kind, and respectful
- attentive and able to observe the person’s needs
- adaptable to different profiles and situations
- able to work independently within a defined framework
- comfortable with communication and information sharing
- able to take a step back, self-reflect, and adapt your practice
- discreet and rigorous in respecting confidentiality.
