Role:
For the realisation of an extraordinary and long-term major project at Zurich Airport, we are looking for an experienced individual as Head of Realisation / Chief Site Manager. In this key position, you are responsible for the operational implementation of a highly complex new build project and lead the realisation from tendering and awarding through construction execution to commissioning. You coordinate all parties involved and ensure that deadlines, costs, quality and contractual requirements are reliably met.
Responsibilities:
Management of the realisation of a complex major building project
Responsibility for construction execution from start of construction to commissioning
Leadership and coordination of involved contractors, specialist planners and other project partners
Preparation of service descriptions as well as tender and submission documents
Control and support of the tendering and awarding process
Development and continuous optimisation of construction and realisation processes together with project management
Creation, control and monitoring of framework, construction and execution schedules
Responsibility for cost control, quality assurance and compliance with contractual conditions
Coordination of complex interfaces between planning and execution
Conducting construction and coordination meetings as well as consistent follow-up of agreed measures
Ensuring structured documentation, acceptance and handover
Proactive identification of project risks as well as development and implementation of appropriate solutions
Qualifications:
Training as a certified site manager, HF technician in building construction, architect or comparable qualification
Several years of solid experience in construction management and realisation of demanding building projects in Switzerland
Very good knowledge of Swiss construction processes and realisation according to SIA
Experience in managing larger or complex construction projects
Sound knowledge in tendering, submission, awarding and contract management
Very good understanding of cost, schedule and quality management
Strong coordination and leadership skills in dealing with contractors, planners and other project participants
Very good knowledge of industry-standard IT and project management tools
Very good German skills as well as good English skills
