The Oncology Department manages, diagnostically and therapeutically, adult patients suffering from cancerous diseases and supports patients and their relatives. The objective is to ensure access to the best anti-cancer treatment, to offer appropriate care and to anticipate the needs of hospitalised patients (bone marrow transplant, cell therapy, immunotherapy, etc.), to strengthen nursing and medical expertise, and to promote research and innovation.
The department comprises 4 services (haematology, oncology, precision oncology and radio-oncology) with around 300 collaborators involved in both hospital and outpatient activities.
In close collaboration with French and Swiss hospital teams, you provide scientific and methodological support to the project activities.
Under the supervision of the project manager, you contribute to the analysis of cross-border patient pathways, the evaluation of new care organisations, the monitoring of scientific activities as well as the assessment of digital tools facilitating the identification of patients eligible for clinical trials.
You collaborate with French and Swiss hospital teams to collect the information necessary for the implementation of the different phases of the project.
As part of the analysis of patient pathways, you participate in the collection and exploitation of information related to cross-border care pathways.
You contribute to identifying legal, organisational, administrative and logistical barriers that may hinder access to care and analyse, in collaboration with the French counterpart, the organisational differences between the Swiss and French healthcare systems.
Based on these elements, you take part in drafting analysis and summary reports and contribute to the development of recommendations aimed at streamlining patient pathways and facilitating access to clinical trials. You also maintain regular exchanges with Swiss and French hospital partners.
Within the framework of the pilot project, you participate in coordinating cross-border patients included in clinical studies. You contribute to harmonising administrative and clinical procedures, notably regarding consents, regulatory documents, insurance and patient transport organisation.
You participate in identifying difficulties encountered by patients and healthcare professionals and contribute to collecting indicators necessary for evaluating trial matching tools, as well as to recruiting, identifying and directing patients towards clinical trials. Finally, you participate in interpreting results and promoting them in the form of technical and scientific reports.
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to clinical research, ideally complemented by a CAS in clinical research.
Thanks to your solid knowledge of good clinical practices and the research environment, you are able to contribute effectively to the conduct and coordination of clinical research projects in collaboration with various partners.
You have proven experience in managing or coordinating clinical oncology studies, acquired in a hospital setting or clinical research.
Experience within the pharmaceutical industry would be an asset.
You are comfortable analysing complex processes and possess a very good knowledge of the regulations applicable to clinical research.
Knowledge of the French and Swiss healthcare systems or European projects is an advantage.
