Role:
In this role, you take on the design, implementation and further development of modern cloud and infrastructure platforms and ensure their high availability and performance. You are responsible for the operation and continuous optimisation of system landscapes, automate recurring tasks and ensure stable, secure operation. You analyse and resolve faults, plan maintenance windows and implement appropriate monitoring and security measures. In addition, you advise internal stakeholders on technical issues, evaluate new technologies and proactively contribute your expertise to projects. As a professional, you act independently, make well-founded architectural decisions and drive standardisation and best practices in infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- You take on the technical 2nd and 3rd level support for internal and external customer infrastructures and optimise network and security environments.
- In this role, you plan and implement customer and infrastructure projects and develop them independently.
- You administer and further develop our Microsoft environments, including Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange, Microsoft 365, Intune and Defender.
- As a System Engineer Cloud and Infrastructure, you integrate security from the outset through hardening, patch management and secure system configurations.
- You automate processes with PowerShell and Power Automate to create efficient and scalable solutions.
- In this role, you document your solutions in a structured manner and actively share your knowledge with employees and customers.
Qualifications:
- Completed IT education at HF, FH level or comparable qualification; alternatively, many years of practical experience in the IT infrastructure environment, ideally supplemented by relevant certifications.
- Solid expertise in Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange as well as in virtualisation technologies.
- Strong architectural thinking for network, security, backup and cloud with a focus on sustainable, future-proof system construction.
- Structured, careful working style with clear prioritisation and high resilience in complex situations.
- Confident, target group-appropriate communication on equal terms with customers and team.
- Several years of practical experience in the IT environment, through which you also bring routine and problem-solving skills gained outside of textbooks.
