The University Clinic for Gynaecology at the Inselspital Bern is a leading, internationally recognised medical centre for gynaecology. Our services cover all areas of gynaecology and obstetrics. The University Clinic for Ophthalmology at the Inselspital has a long tradition of excellence in ophthalmology. The Department of Gynaecology and Ophthalmology comprises 31 beds. Here, women with gynaecological, oncological or senological conditions, as well as patients undergoing conservative and microsurgical treatment for eye diseases, are cared for.

What to expect

• Care of day clinic patients, patients undergoing complex surgical procedures, and support for relatives in palliative situations
• Care of gynaecological emergencies in the evenings and at weekends
• Care of patients after ophthalmological microsurgical procedures and in the treatment of eye diseases
• You contribute to the training of apprentices and interns in nursing professions.

What you bring

• Training as a certified nurse specialist or BSc nurse specialist
• You appreciate the dynamics of a lively environment and demonstrate flexibility and resilience
• Strong service orientation towards patients and their relatives
• Ideally, in-depth knowledge of women’s care or motivation to learn and continuously expand this knowledge
