For our client, an established Swiss company in the field of building automation, control technology and technical system solutions, we are looking for an experienced and technically strong personality as Head of Electrical Design / Building Automation 80-100% (m/f) in the Lucerne LU area.
In this role, you take on the technical responsibility for the electrical design of demanding control and automation projects. You create and review electrical schematics, coordinate technical clarifications and ensure that engineering documents are implemented cleanly, in accordance with standards and practically.
The position is suitable for a person who not only executes electrical design but also develops standards further, ensures technical quality and oversees projects with a comprehensive view.
- Creating, reviewing and approving electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, terminal plans, cable lists and parts lists
- Electrical design of control cabinets, controls, regulators, sensors, actuators, drives and field devices
- Coordination of technical documents for control cabinet construction, assembly, installation, commissioning and service
- Technical clarifications with project management, automation, control cabinet construction, purchasing, assembly and external partners
- Ensuring clean, standards-compliant and service-friendly documentation
- Maintenance and further development of article data, macros, templates, standards and design guidelines
- Checking schematics for function, completeness, standards, feasibility and quality
- Support with technical queries, modifications, expansions, modernisations and commissioning
- Participation in the optimisation of engineering processes, documentation quality and internal standards
- Technical support and guidance of employees in the field of electrical design
- Further education as a technician HF in electrical engineering, automation, building automation or comparable qualification advantageous
- Several years of experience in electrical design, control technology, building automation, control cabinet construction or technical building equipment
- Very good knowledge of EPLAN P8, AutoCAD Electrical or comparable ECAD systems
- Confident handling of electrical schematics, terminal plans, cable lists, parts lists and technical documentation
- Good understanding of controls, regulators, sensors, actuators, drives, control cabinets and field devices
- Experience in HVAC, refrigeration/air conditioning technology, energy systems, control technology or building automation advantageous
- Knowledge of standards, electrical regulations and safety requirements
- Ability to clarify technical contexts clearly and implement them in clean engineering documents
- Precise, structured and quality-conscious working method
- Leadership experience or experience in technical coordination advantageous
- Good German language skills, spoken and written

Profile
- Completed training as an automation technician, electrical planner, electrical designer, electrical installer with control technology experience or comparable qualification- Further education as a technician HF in electrical engineering, automation, building automation or comparable qualification advantageous
- Several years of experience in electrical design, control technology, building automation, control cabinet construction or technical building equipment
