Role:
In this role, you design innovative and reliable IT solutions that are flexible and cost-effective, tailored to the needs of various customers. You are responsible for planning and implementing modern IT infrastructures on-premise, in the cloud and in hybrid environments for SMEs and large customers. You work with a powerful high-performance cloud and ensure that demanding IT landscapes are operated stably and efficiently at all times. Through professional logistics and service services, you ensure that IT systems are proactively maintained and continuously optimised.
Responsibilities:
You provide technical support to customers and continuously develop their IT infrastructures and system landscapes according to operational and technological requirements.
You install, configure and operate Microsoft Windows Server and client systems and ensure reliable and secure operation of the managed environments.
You implement and support Microsoft 365 solutions and assist customers in further developing their cloud, workplace and hybrid environments.
You manage virtual desktop infrastructures based on Citrix, VMware Horizon or Microsoft Remote Desktop Services and support their further development and troubleshooting.
You install and operate firewall and security solutions, especially in Sophos environments, contributing to the security of customer infrastructures.
You carry out planned maintenance, update and optimisation work on productive IT systems and ensure their sustainable and stable operation.
You support the service desk with demanding technical problems in 3rd level support, analyse complex fault patterns and develop sustainable solutions.
You actively participate in IT projects and accompany new or changed solutions from technical implementation to handover to ongoing operation.
Qualifications:
You have several years of professional experience in system engineering and are familiar with the operation and further development of professional customer infrastructures.
You possess sound knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and client as well as Microsoft 365 and can independently install, configure and support corresponding systems.
You bring experience with VDI technologies such as Citrix, VMware Horizon or Microsoft Remote Desktop Services and can confidently navigate virtualised workplace environments.
You have knowledge in the network and security environment and ideally have already worked practically with Sophos firewall solutions.
You possess strong analytical skills and can investigate even complex technical faults in a structured manner, identify causes and develop suitable solutions.
You work independently and have a high degree of self-organisation, enabling you to reliably coordinate support, maintenance, customer and project tasks.
You communicate empathetically and professionally and maintain a respectful interaction with customers as well as colleagues.
You are motivated to continuously develop yourself personally and professionally and to expand your knowledge of modern infrastructure, cloud, workplace and security technologies.
You have very good German and English skills and can communicate confidently both in customer contact and in technical tasks.
