Role:
On behalf of a client, we are looking for a Structural Civil Engineer for the design of demanding new builds and conversions in building construction. You will handle static issues, carry out structural calculations and earthquake analyses, and develop economically and technically convincing structural solutions together with experienced engineers. Modern planning methods such as BIM and BIM2Field are used. This position is particularly suitable for professionals who want to specifically build or deepen their skills in structural engineering.
Responsibilities:
Design and processing of structures for new, converted, and existing buildings
Execution of static calculations and structural analyses for various building constructions
Creation and evaluation of earthquake calculations according to relevant Swiss standards
Dimensioning of structures and components in reinforced concrete, steel, and other structural materials
Development of economical and feasible structural and construction concepts
Participation in model-based design with BIM and BIM2Field
Coordination of structural interfaces with architecture, building services, and other specialist planning
Execution and documentation of condition assessments of existing structures
Support in the assessment of conversion, reinforcement, and repair measures
Preparation of technical calculations, proofs, and project documentation
Accompaniment of realisation through construction inspections and technical execution controls
Participation in various project phases according to the SIA service model
Qualifications:
Completed studies as a Civil Engineer ETH, FH or University
Interest or initial professional experience in structural design / structural engineering
Knowledge in statics, structural dimensioning, and structural analysis
Knowledge of relevant SIA standards, especially for structures and earthquake safety
Interest in digital design methods such as BIM and BIM2Field
Knowledge of common statics and calculation software is an advantage
Very good German language skills in spoken and written form
