About our client
As part of its expansion in French-speaking Switzerland, our client, a dynamic company operating in the transport and logistics sector, is announcing the opening of a brand new platform dedicated to transport. To lead this strategic centre, we are actively seeking their future Platform Manager.
Your mission
As the true conductor of the site, you are responsible for the overall management of the platform in compliance with the company’s economic and ecological objectives. Your responsibilities revolve around the following areas:
Operational and Strategic Management
Lead and coordinate the transport, handling and logistics departments.
Manage the vehicle fleet planning (investments, maintenance, costs) in close collaboration with the transport manager.
Initiate and implement process optimisation and cost reduction projects.
Deploy concrete measures aimed at improving production and service quality.
Ensure rigorous monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports for management.
Business Development
Take charge of acquiring new clients and developing the existing portfolio.
Prepare commercial offers, advise clients according to their specific needs and ensure excellent customer service.
Manage the implementation of complex logistics projects in direct collaboration with clients.
Human Resources and Management
Manage the full HR cycle for your teams: recruitment, planning, evaluation and skills development.
Unite, motivate and manage staff across the various operational departments.
Provide occasional on-site support (workshop/logistics) when needed.
Qualifications
Your profile
- French C1 AND German C1: mandatory
Proven experience of several years in a similar management position, ideally in the transport or logistics sector.
Higher education in logistics, business management, or an equivalent qualification (e.g. Federal Certificate or Advanced Diploma in Logistics).
Strong management and human resources skills.
Proficiency in financial management (budgets, KPIs, cost optimisation).
Very good knowledge of the economic fabric of French-speaking Switzerland.
Analytical mindset, natural leadership and ability to make strategic decisions.
