In this role, you will dive deep into the world of information security and cybersecurity, ensuring that sensitive data and systems are sustainably protected. You take responsibility for risk analysis, defining appropriate security measures, and continuously optimising existing protection concepts. You keep an eye on current threat situations, derive preventive and reactive measures from them, and ensure their effective implementation. You work closely with various departments, raise employee awareness of security issues, and thus contribute significantly to a strong security culture. With your professional know-how and structured working method, you sustainably shape the further development of information security and cybersecurity.
Responsibilities:
- You plan, design, and implement modern IT security solutions.
- In this role, you monitor the threat landscape and analyse and assess security incidents.
- You conduct risk analyses, review and approve firewall changes, and implement vulnerability scans.
- As an information security and cybersecurity specialist, you evaluate system solutions regarding IT security and data protection.
- You further develop security management processes through standardisation, automation, and efficiency improvements.
- In this role, you ensure IT security in projects and implement current security topics with internal and external partners.
Qualifications:
- Completed education in computer science (HF/FH/Uni) with further training in IT security
- Very good knowledge of network security, especially with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, SIEM, and modern security architectures
- Experience in analysing complex security incidents and evaluating technical system solutions
- In-depth expertise in IT security and data protection, ideally with experience in GDPR, ISO 27001, and BSI basic protection
- Practical experience in vulnerability management as well as handling log management, mail security, and phishing simulations
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style combined with strong communication skills and willingness to participate in on-call duties
