Altoan is a private home support company based in the canton of Vaud, active in the Lake Geneva region.

We work with dependent elderly people or those with cognitive disorders to enable them to continue living at home for as long as possible.

The mission

You will work at the home of a dependent elderly person or someone with cognitive disorders, in the Lausanne area, on day, night or alternating shifts, several days a week including regular weekends.

Your responsibilities include notably:

• Active, reassuring and structuring presence at home
• Maintaining orientation and daily rhythm
• Prevention of risky situations
• Meal preparation
• Routine shopping and accompanied outings
• Support with hygiene and dressing
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Coordination with relatives and other caregivers

Profile sought

• CRS certificate as health assistant or equivalent recognised in Switzerland (mandatory)
• Proven experience in supporting people with Alzheimer’s disease (mandatory)
• Several years of experience in private home support in Switzerland (mandatory)
• Available immediately (mandatory)
• Willing to work weekends (mandatory)
• Comfortable with 12-hour shifts, day, night or alternating
• Reliable, patient, discreet, keen observational skills
• Fluent French (spoken and written)
• Valid work permit for Switzerland
• Criminal record extract required
