To strengthen our "Safety, Health and Environment – Sustainability" team in Villars-sur-Glâne and as a successor to the current head, who will retire at the end of May 2027, we are looking for a
Head of Safety, Health and Environment – Sustainability (m/f)
YOUR TASKS:
- Coordination and integration of the areas of occupational safety, health protection and environment – sustainability at all company locations, including fire protection and security
- Personnel and/or professional leadership of a team of specialists
- Improvement of company policy in the areas of occupational safety and health protection, environment and sustainability as well as ensuring its implementation and compliance at all locations
- Improvement of management systems and concepts according to applicable standards (ASA guidelines, ISO 14001, fire protection, security in cooperation with quality assurance)
- Advising, training and supporting management, executives and employees in implementing goals in this area
- Leading projects directly related to the specialist field
- Organising and coordinating emergency management: fire, environment, accidents with personal injury and security
YOUR PROFILE:
- Engineering degree or an equivalent recognised qualification in a technical field, ideally complemented by training as a safety officer - STPS specialist or safety engineer CFST/STPS expert, or willingness to complete such training later if needed
- Proven professional experience of at least 5 to 7 years in a comparable role in an industrial company (experience in the food industry is an advantage), including team leadership
- Training and/or solid knowledge in safety and fire protection. Knowledge of handling chemicals is an advantage
- Experience in crisis and emergency management as well as in leading groups and conducting training
- Very good oral and written French skills (C1), ideally with German skills. English skills are an advantage.
- Class B driving licence
- Comfortable both on site and with administrative work
- A personality with natural leadership and good communication skills, independent and with a high sense of responsibility
