Senior Physician: Paediatric Cardiology

The Department of Cardiology/Vascular Medicine combines the University Clinics of Cardiology (including paediatric cardiology), cardiac and vascular surgery, as well as angiology. As a nationally leading centre in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and circulatory diseases, our services cover the entire spectrum of interventional and surgical treatments. The clinics enjoy national and international recognition in research and science.

What to expect

• Participation in the comprehensive care of children and adolescents with congenital and acquired heart diseases within an experienced paediatric cardiology team
• Independent care and treatment of paediatric cardiology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Involvement in the paediatric cardiology consultation and on-call service
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with various specialties ranging from prenatal medicine, paediatrics, cardiac surgery, anaesthesia to adult cardiology for congenital heart defects

What you bring

• Specialist qualification in paediatrics and adolescent medicine
• Successfully completed advanced training in paediatric cardiology
• Extensive experience in outpatient and (intensive care) inpatient management of children and adolescents with congenital heart defects
• Interest in active research and participation in the training of paediatric and paediatric cardiology residents
• Motivated, committed and team-oriented personality
• Very good German skills and good spoken French skills
