For the field of geriatrics, we are looking for a committed and motivated person as Assistant Physician Geriatrics from 1 January 2027. This role offers varied work across the entire spectrum of internal medicine with a focus on age-related multimorbidity and polypharmacy. In addition, we offer the opportunity to participate in the broad range of further training available throughout the entire KSW.
Who we are
Your tasks
- Treatment of complex multimorbid patients on the acute geriatric ward in the acute hospital in close collaboration with senior physicians and specialist doctors
- Support of the home doctor team in the sense of rotation in acute and transitional care at the nearby Adlergarten retirement home
- Working in the interprofessional team according to current geriatric standards under senior medical leadership
- Participation in the medical training programme
Your profile
- Completed medical studies or a medical diploma recognised in Switzerland by the Medical Professions Commission (MEBEKO)
- Experience in general internal medicine is an advantage
- Interest in complex geriatric issues and holistic patient care
- Enjoyment of interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration
- Planned further training to become a specialist in general internal medicine or planned further training specialising in geriatrics (Category A recognition)
- Flexibility and ability to work in a team
