Application Security Consultant (m/f/d)
This ROCKEN partner has been developing technically convincing solutions for the security of IT infrastructures and web applications for over 20 years. To remain relevant in a rapidly evolving and changing market, lateral thinkers are sought for practical innovations and solutions.
Role:
You want to support customers in making modern applications more secure and technically implement demanding security solutions? In this role, you work in the application security environment, integrate security solutions into existing IT landscapes, and accompany customer projects from technical implementation to stable operation.
Responsibilities:
You integrate security solutions at customers and ensure their successful introduction in existing IT environments.
You support the operations team with your technical know-how on demanding security topics and complex issues.
You take on the planning, management, and implementation of internal and external projects.
You analyse requirements and develop suitable technical solutions for secure application architectures.
You work on topics around web application security, authentication, encryption, and secure communication.
You support customers in optimising their security landscape and contribute your own ideas for further development.
You work closely with customers, internal teams, and technical contacts.
Qualifications:
You have a degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable qualification (FH/Uni/ETH/HF) or bring initial professional experience in IT security.
You have solid knowledge in at least one of the following areas:
Web Application Firewall, HTTP, Apache, SSL/TLS, PKI, and OWASP Top 10
Authentication technologies such as SAML 2.0, OpenID Connect, or Kerberos
Linux systems and modern container platforms
Kubernetes environments with technologies like Envoy or Coraza
Ideally, you have initial experience with JavaScript, Groovy, or container technologies.
You have basic network understanding in the areas of ISO/OSI Layers 1-4.
You are motivated to continuously familiarise yourself with new technologies and expand your knowledge.
You can quickly grasp complex technical contexts and explain them clearly.
You communicate confidently in German and English.
