About the job
From the idea to the machine that convinces in everyday industrial use.
Matti Technology AG in Sulgen develops and builds industrial digital inkjet solutions for international customers. Mechanics, inkjet technology, control and drive technology as well as software are combined at the site into powerful production systems. For the further expansion of mechanical engineering, we are looking for a design-strong personality who combines technical understanding, systems thinking and joy in practical development.
R&D Engineer Mechanical Systems
You develop and design modules and assemblies for highly automated special machines and accompany them from the first concept idea to successful implementation. In doing so, you develop mechanical solution variants, detailed designs and manufacturing-friendly designs and consistently implement them with the 3D-CAD SolidWorks.
In addition to the constructive design, you create drawings, parts lists and technical documentation and equally consider function, manufacturability, assembly, service and cost-effectiveness. In close cooperation with project management, automation, software, production, assembly and suppliers, you clarify technical interfaces and bring your solutions to the real machine. You use insights from tests, prototypes and the test field in a targeted manner to further develop designs, standards and future machine generations.
Your profile
You have a degree as a mechanical engineer FH/ETH or a comparable higher technical education and bring sound experience in development and design in mechanical, special machine or plant engineering. You are familiar with dealing with complex, interdisciplinary systems. Ideally, you already have experience in the transport and handling of roll materials.
You are proficient in 3D-CAD, ideally you already work with SolidWorks. At the same time, you have a good understanding of manufacturing processes such as turning, milling, sheet metal processing and assembly of assemblies. You think spatially and technically, translate requirements into robust and feasible solutions and do not lose sight of costs or manufacturability. A structured, independent way of working as well as very good German and good English skills complete your profile.
What is offered to you
You can expect a development role with direct reference to industrial reality. Your designs do not remain on the screen but are created a few metres away in production, assembly and the test field and are directly tested and further developed there. High personal responsibility, short decision-making paths and close cooperation of various technical disciplines offer you plenty of scope for design in a Swiss technology company with demanding international applications.
