Construction Manager (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF120,000 - 125,000Role:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced construction manager / site manager for building construction for the independent realisation of demanding renovation and new construction projects in the Zurich area. You will accompany the projects from execution planning through tendering and awarding to realisation, commissioning and handover and act as the direct contact person for the client. You will be responsible in particular for scheduling, cost control, quality assurance and coordination of the entire construction process. The position combines comprehensive construction management with operational site management and offers high personal responsibility for complex building projects.
Responsibilities:
Independent site management and realisation of demanding renovation and new construction projects from planning to commissioning and handover
Assuming the central interface function between client, architect, specialist planners, authorities and contractors
Responsibility for the tendering and awarding process including specifications, offer comparisons and awarding proposals
Conducting contractor negotiations as well as drafting and monitoring construction contracts
Creation, control and ongoing monitoring of scheduling and construction process planning
Responsibility for cost control, cost forecasts, measurement, invoice verification and change order management
Coordination and leadership of contractors and executing trades as well as ensuring an efficient construction site process
Organisation and management of construction, contractor and coordination meetings including minutes and action item management
Ensuring execution quality as well as monitoring compliance with planning bases, construction contracts and relevant SIA standards
Coordination of complex interfaces between architecture, building services and finishing trades
Conducting and supporting acceptances, commissioning, defect management and handovers as well as assisting with project completion
Qualifications:
Completed training in the construction industry, ideally supplemented by further training as construction manager HFP, certified technician HF construction planning or architect FH
Several years of solid professional experience in independent site management and realisation of demanding renovation and new construction projects
Very good knowledge of tendering, awarding, scheduling and construction process control
Sound experience in cost control, measurement, invoice verification and change order management
Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards, construction contract basics and Swiss construction processes
Experience in coordinating architects, specialist planners and executing companies
Very good German language skills spoken and written
