Do you like order, work carefully and enjoy pitching in? Do you want a varied training where you get to know different areas and ensure daily that patients, employees and guests feel comfortable with us? Then you are exactly right at the University Psychiatric Centre Bern. As a Specialist in Hotel and Housekeeping EFZ, you ensure that everything runs smoothly in the background: you clean and decorate rooms, take care of laundry and clothing, support catering, manage materials and welcome guests in our restaurant. In doing so, you learn to work independently, take responsibility and implement professional quality and hygiene standards.

Your tasks

• You learn to professionally clean and maintain communal rooms, ward rooms and other premises
• You take care of laundry and work clothing - from washing and ironing to proper mending
• You learn to manage materials and work equipment correctly and keep an overview
• You implement quality and hygiene regulations and learn what is particularly important in the healthcare sector
• You support administrative tasks and get to know the organisational processes in the hotel and housekeeping area
• You design and decorate rooms for various occasions, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere
• You support our team with catering and look after guests in our in-house restaurant
• You work with various professional groups and gradually take on more responsibility

Your profile

• You have completed compulsory schooling
• You enjoy practical work and are ready to pitch in
• You are reliable, careful and responsible
• You have an eye for order and cleanliness
• You are friendly, helpful and approachable
• You enjoy working in a team and can also complete tasks independently
• You are curious and motivated to learn new things and develop further
• You bring motivation, commitment and a sense of humour
