For our Beyeler ward at the University Clinic for Geriatric Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, we offer you the opportunity to join as a Junior Ward Manager. In this role, you will support the ward manager in daily leadership tasks and gradually take on more responsibility.
You can expect a respectful, interprofessional team as well as an innovative working environment where you can specifically develop your professional and personal skills and actively contribute to the quality of psychiatric care for people aged 65 and over.
Your tasks
- You work closely with the ward manager and support them in the operational and personnel management of the ward
- You actively participate in direct nursing and gradually take on leadership responsibility
- You coordinate the nursing process and ensure high-quality care
- You promote a person-centred and recovery-oriented attitude within the team
- You are the central contact person for patients, relatives and the interprofessional team and ensure clear communication
- You see changes as opportunities and actively help shape them
- You support interprofessional collaboration and the further development of treatment standards
- You are part of the leadership team in the nursing service of geriatric psychiatry
Your profile
- You are a qualified nurse HF/FH and have experience in psychiatric nursing or in acute or long-term care settings with adults aged 65 and over
- You have initial leadership experience – or are motivated to grow into a leadership role and take on responsibility
- You communicate clearly, respectfully and on an equal footing
- It is a matter close to your heart to actively commit yourself to high-quality patient care, the team and the further development of the ward
- Your confident handling of challenging situations and your flexible, independent working style make you a valuable addition to the team
- You have very good German language skills and are confident in using common IT applications
