About the Opportunity
For one of our prestigious clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, we are looking for a Senior Veeva Systems Specialist to support and enhance critical Medical Affairs systems across international markets.
This role combines system administration, project management, business analysis, vendor management, and digital transformation within a highly regulated environment. You will act as the key interface between Medical Affairs teams and technical stakeholders while driving strategic initiatives across the Veeva ecosystem and related platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Medical Affairs Systems Management
- Lead the administration, configuration, enhancement, and support of Medical Affairs platforms.
- Act as the primary business and system owner for Medical Information and Medical Affairs operational tools.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Ensure alignment with global processes, compliance standards, and data governance requirements.
Veeva Platform Administration
- Administer and optimize:
- Veeva MedInquiry
- Veeva Vault MedComms
- Veeva Vault PromoMats
- Veeva CRM (preferred)
- Manage user access, workflows, system configurations, reporting, and release activities.
- Coordinate platform upgrades and impact assessments.
- Support integrations with CRM, Safety, Content Management, and other enterprise systems.
Project Management & Digital Transformation
- Lead system implementation and enhancement projects across Europe and international markets.
- Manage vendor selection processes, RFPs, and solution evaluations.
- Coordinate data migrations, validation activities, testing, and go-live execution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and user adoption programs.
Medical Information & Pharmacovigilance Support
- Support Medical Information operations and website integrations.
- Ensure seamless connectivity between Medical Affairs systems and safety platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Medical Affairs, Compliance, IT, Pharmacovigilance, and external partners.
AI & Innovation Initiatives
- Support the deployment of AI-enabled Medical Affairs solutions.
- Lead integrations between content management platforms and AI-powered authoring tools.
- Contribute to governance, compliance, privacy, and validation activities for innovative digital solutions.
- Support pilot programs, user onboarding, training, and operational deployment.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for software vendors, consultants, and managed service providers.
- Manage external partners and support contract-related activities.
- Coordinate international stakeholders across Europe, Asia, and global teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in systems administration, business applications, or project management within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Veeva MedInquiry
- Veeva Vault MedComms
- Veeva Vault PromoMats
- Veeva CRM (highly desirable)
- Experience supporting Medical Affairs, Medical Information, or Commercial Operations functions.
- Solid understanding of GxP, CSV, and regulated environments.
- Experience managing system implementations, vendor relationships, and cross-functional projects.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, Smartsheet, and Power BI.
- Fluent English is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Veeva Vault certification.
- Experience with IQVIA OneKey and HCP reference data management.
- Knowledge of Pharmacovigilance processes and Safety systems.
- Experience with Medical Information platforms and inquiry management solutions.
- Exposure to Salesforce environments.
- Experience working in international and multicultural settings.
- Understanding of GDPR and healthcare data privacy regulations.
