Role:
In this role, you work in a modern and versatile IT landscape with your own data centre, Microsoft 365, and numerous business and specialist applications. You take responsibility for ensuring that employees can work reliably and efficiently and contribute to the continuous development of IT systems. In a small, cross-departmental IT team, you focus on the described core tasks and bring your expertise as a System Engineer Business Applications Workplace. At the same time, you support the team in daily operations and ensure a stable, secure, and future-proof IT landscape through your commitment.
Responsibilities:
You independently maintain and develop the business and specialist applications of the company. This includes, in particular, ERP and CAD solutions, telephony, and other business-critical systems.
You ensure the reliable operation of the client and workplace environment and continuously develop it in terms of stability, security, and user-friendliness.
You administer Microsoft 365, manage user administration, and support the further development of the Microsoft services used.
You support employees in 1st and 2nd level support, analyse technical problems, and ensure quick and sustainable problem resolution.
You participate in digitalisation and IT projects and assist departments in further developing existing processes through suitable applications and technical solutions.
You coordinate technical and specialist issues with external software, system, and solution partners and accompany changes, updates, and further developments of the systems used.
You document applications, configurations, and operational processes comprehensibly and identify opportunities for standardisation, automation, and continuous optimisation of the IT landscape.
You also take on tasks outside your primary area of responsibility in daily IT operations and contribute with the team to the availability and security of the entire IT environment.
Qualifications:
You have a completed EFZ IT education or bring comparable practical professional experience in the IT environment.
You have several years of experience with Microsoft technologies and client management and know the requirements for the reliable operation of professional workplace environments.
Ideally, you have already supported business or specialist applications such as ERP, CAD, or comparable systems and are interested in the underlying business processes.
You bring practical knowledge in the Microsoft 365 environment and are familiar with user administration and typical tasks of a modern workplace environment.
You do not need to know all the applications used yet. What matters is that you can independently familiarise yourself with new systems and specialist contexts and take responsibility for their operation and further development.
You enjoy direct contact with users and can communicate technical matters clearly and service-oriented.
You work independently, structured, customer-oriented, and solution-oriented and keep an overview even with parallel support, operational, and project tasks.
You want to take responsibility, understand the connections between IT and business processes, and continuously develop the business applications and workplace systems together with a small team.
