Role:
As an Electrical Engineer PCB, you are responsible for the development, optimisation and documentation of PCB layouts for innovative electronic systems. You work closely with interdisciplinary teams and contribute significantly to the technical implementation of new products. Your expertise in circuit design, EMC-compliant layout design and manufacturing optimisation ensures that the highest quality and efficiency standards are met.
Responsibilities:
Development and optimisation of PCB layouts taking into account EMC, manufacturing and design-for-testability requirements
Creation and maintenance of circuit diagrams, PCB layouts and 3D models for electronic assemblies
Data management and updating of component libraries in CAD and ERP systems
Creation and maintenance of manufacturing documentation (Gerber files, assembly plans, drill data etc.) for production
Technical support during the introduction of new products as well as implementation of design changes and improvements
Collaboration with development teams, manufacturing service providers and suppliers to ensure smooth industrialisation and production
Execution of minor mechanical designs related to PCB development
Analysis and optimisation of existing designs to improve cost, quality and functionality
Participation in strategic development projects to further develop internal PCB design guidelines
Qualifications:
Completed technical education (electronics technician, electrical engineer or similar), ideally specialising in PCB design and EMC-compliant development
Several years of professional experience in PCB layout, especially with high-speed, mixed-signal and multilayer designs
Confident handling of common CAD tools such as Altium Designer, PADS Mentor Graphics or comparable systems
Good knowledge of data handling for PCB production files (Gerber, Excellon, DXF etc.)
Experience working with ERP systems as well as solid MS Office skills
Analytical, structured and precise working style with a high quality awareness
Communicative German and English skills to collaborate with international partners
