Head of Building Services 100%The Kantonsschule Rychenberg Winterthur is a grammar school with classical and modern language profiles and the PPP profile, a bilingual German/English Matura programme, as well as a specialised secondary school with the profiles Pedagogy and Communication and Information. With around 1250 pupils and 170 teachers, our school is one of the largest schools in the canton of Zurich.
We are looking for a committed individual as Head of Building Services 100%, starting 1 July 2026 or by arrangement.
Your tasks
- Responsibility for operation, maintenance and servicing of the entire school complex
- Leadership of the building services team
- Safety officer / fire protection
- Budget responsibility for operation and minor maintenance as well as submitting applications for investments and repairs
- Coordination of rentals including contract management (assembly hall, canteen, etc.)
- Awarding and coordination of contracts to external craft businesses as well as participation in tenders and procurement
- Close cooperation with the school management and external bodies (building authority, city, etc.) as well as contact person for all users of the buildings
Your profile
- Completed vocational training in a craft-technical business with several years of professional and leadership experience as well as further training as a caretaker with a federal diploma
- Independent, reliable working style and enjoyment of teamwork
- Strong service orientation, organisational talent and craft-technical skills
- Enjoyment in working with young people as well as high flexibility and resilience in everyday school life (including occasional evening and weekend duties)
- Good German language skills in spoken and written form as well as confident use of MS Office
Our offer
