Legal and Strategic Project Officer

At the heart of the legal, economic and institutional challenges of the canton, you work on a variety of topics that draw on your legal skills, analytical ability and understanding of public issues. In direct contact with the service management and numerous partners, you help prepare decisions, develop legal frameworks and coordinate strategically significant files. • Advise management and executives on legal and strategic matters, analyse complex situations and draft legal opinions, summary notes and proposals on files with significant institutional, economic or political stakes.

• Contribute to the development and evolution of legal and regulatory frameworks as well as the preparation of files submitted to cantonal authorities and ensure legal and legislative monitoring.

• Handle legal requests from residents or external partners of the service as well as legal dispute procedures.

• Manage parliamentary items and federal and cantonal consultations, ensuring coordination with relevant partners and compliance with deadlines.

• Manage and monitor financial and personal participations related to the service, in coordination with the relevant contacts.

• Participate in cross-functional work and follow up on agreed decisions and actions.

• Master's degree in Swiss law; bar admission is an asset
• At least 5 years of experience in a legal role
• Excellent legal analysis and synthesis skills
• Clear communication adapted to diverse interlocutors
• Strategic vision and foresight
• Strong interest in public policies as well as knowledge of Vaud institutions and the economic fabric are assets
