Senior Consultant Angiology

The University Clinic for Angiology at Inselspital Bern is part of one of the largest and most comprehensive vascular centres in Switzerland. We offer the full spectrum of modern angiological diagnostics and therapy and care for patients with complex vascular diseases in close interdisciplinary collaboration with vascular surgery, interventional radiology, and other specialist disciplines.

What to expect

• Professional and organisational co-responsibility in the field of non-invasive angiology
• Implementation and further development of vascular duplex sonography and other non-invasive diagnostic procedures
• Care of complex angiological patients in outpatient and inpatient settings
• Close interdisciplinary collaboration within the vascular centre and with other specialist disciplines
• Participation in the training, further education, and continuing education of doctors
• Involvement in clinical research projects and the academic development of the clinic

Your profile

• Specialist title in angiology or an equivalent qualification recognised in Switzerland, federally recognised medical diploma
• Several years of clinical experience in angiology, preferably at a university or interdisciplinary vascular centre
• Sound knowledge of non-invasive vascular diagnostics, especially vascular duplex sonography
• Experience in outpatient and inpatient care of complex vascular patients
• Completed doctorate in medicine; habilitation or a comparable academic qualification is an advantage
• Very good German language skills; French language skills are an advantage
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration, teaching, and collegial leadership
• Independent, responsible, and patient-oriented working style
• Interest in clinical research and innovative diagnostic or therapeutic procedures
