We are looking for a highly qualified Construction Manager EMSR (m/f/d) to join an experienced Construction Site Services team for our client, a global pharmaceutical leader based in the Basel / Kaiseraugst area.
In this role you will serve as the crucial interface between engineering project teams and executing contractors on-site. You will oversee the planning, execution, and organization of electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation (EMSR) construction activities. Working in a strictly regulated environment, you will play a vital role in ensuring site safety, maintaining high quality and cost control, and managing seamless handovers to plant operators while strictly adhering to GMP standards.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Site Management & Execution: Plan, organize, lead, and coordinate on-site EMSR construction activities, serving as the main contact for external contractors.

Quality & Safety Assurance: Enforce strict site safety guidelines, oversee quality control across electrical and automation disciplines, and ensure full compliance with GMP standards and documentation requirements.

Commissioning & Handover: Escort contractors through startup and commissioning phases, manage deficiency rectifications, and coordinate official trade handovers to local engineering and operations teams.

Vendor & Proposal Management: Obtain, evaluate, and analyze supplier quotes and specifications, assist in contract awards, and review final standard and revision documentation.

Project Support & Planning: Provide expert EMSR input during the planning phase regarding materials, scheduling, and construction sequences, while maintaining daily progress reporting in coordination with engineering.
Qualifications & Requirements (Must-Haves)

Education & Vocational Background: Completed vocational training in electrical engineering with advanced technical certification (e.g., Master Craftsman / Meister, Technician, HF, or Electrical Project Leader).

EMSR & Industry Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in project management and site leadership for industrial electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation (EMSR) installations.

Pharma & Regulatory Expertise: Proven experience as a Construction Manager within the pharmaceutical industry, including solid working knowledge of GMP standards.

Safety & Standards Knowledge: Demonstrated background in construction site safety and thorough understanding of low-voltage installation standards (NIN/NIV).

IT & Technical Skills: Proficient with Google Suite and MS Office tools; familiar with industrial electrical installation practices.

Language Skills: Native or fluent command of German (written and spoken).
Desirable Skills (Nice-to-Haves)

Multilingual Capability: Proficiency in English and/or French is a strong advantage.

Advanced Safety & Building Systems: Training or certification in occupational safety (e.g., SiGeKo, Safety Specialist), fire protection, or site logistics.

Technical & Software Expertise: Practical knowledge of plant automation systems (Siemens, Sauter), process technology, and enterprise management tools such as SAP.
