Our setting is unique throughout Switzerland: Through close collaboration with the somatic departments of the University Hospital Zurich, we are able to admit patients with eating disorders who cannot be cared for in other psychosomatic and psychiatric clinics due to their physical condition. The interdisciplinary team values an individual, comprehensive therapy, treatment and care that preserves independence. Inpatient and day clinic care places great emphasis on discussing and implementing goals, needs and requirements for a positive therapy process in personal conversations.

- are specialised in accompanying, caring for and supporting people with anorexia, bulimia and atypical eating disorders
- orient ourselves on the primary nursing concept and the individual therapy plan
- are involved in the therapeutic setting such as group therapies, individual conversations, meal support and exposure training
- perceive, ask questions, give feedback and endure with and through the patients
- work closely together as a team and operate interdisciplinarily on an equal footing
- treat each other with interest and appreciation
- train HF students and are always learning ourselves
- introduce you carefully and thoroughly to the special field and the daily routine of the department
You...
- have completed training as a registered nurse HF/FH
- bring experience in the psychiatric field and curiosity about eating disorders
- enjoy working with people and can engage professionally in relationship processes
- think in a networked way, like to work independently and enjoy interdisciplinary exchange
- want to adhere to the clear structures of a psychotherapy ward and still be flexible with individual agreements
- want to work weekdays in a 3-shift system (early shift starts at 7:45 am) and weekends in 12-hour shifts to have more free time on Saturdays and Sundays
- are open to new things and want to go along, support and help shape them

Due to the long therapy period of 6 months up to a year or more, we have the opportunity to further develop the long-term relationship with our patients even after the inpatient stay in day clinic care.
The patients' self-responsibility is strongly emphasised. Have you heard from colleagues who worked on a ward specialising in eating disorders and felt like "police officers" because they constantly had to check whether the patients had eaten enough? That will not be the case with us. You are responsible for the pre- and post-discussions and we do meal support, not meal control. One of our most important concerns is to support patients in independently leading a healthy life outside the clinic again.
