The International School of Lausanne (ISL) is a leading not-for-profit, International Baccalaureate (IB) World School set in the French speaking part of Switzerland. For our Activities and Sports department, we are seeking a proactive, well-organised and detailed oriented
In this position, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth planning, administration, and execution of ISL’s sports tournaments and holiday camp programmes. Through your strong organisational and communication skills, you will foster a well-structured, inclusive, and dynamic environment that brings students, staff, and families together across our after-school activity offerings.
Main responsibilities:
- Coordinate the organisation of external sports tournaments, including registrations, transport, logistics, and communication with schools, coaches, parents, and students.
- Support the planning and delivery of on-campus tournaments, team try-outs, and seasonal sports events.
- Maintain accurate records of student participation and team data on relevant platforms.
- Contribute to the development of an inclusive and well-balanced Activities and Sports programme.
- Assist with the daily administration of after-school activities, sports, and holiday camps.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for ISL’s Holiday Camp programme, including registrations, scheduling, communication, and campus set-up.
- Help coordinate the recruitment and onboarding of coaches and camp staff.
- Prepare billing details and ensure financial procedures are followed for selected activities and events.
Desired profile:
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in coordinating events, camps programmes, or sports activities, covering both administrative and hands on responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English (C1) and French (C1), both written and oral.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities and be flexible with changing priorities.
- Solution-oriented mindset with strong customer service orientation.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Hands on approach, with ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to interact effectively with students, parents, sports coaches and external partners, as well as to work in a culturally diverse organisation.
Working conditions and flexibility requirements:
This role requires a high degree of flexibility, especially during peak activity periods such as school holiday camps and tournament seasons. Working hours may increase during these times, including occasional early mornings and evenings. In particular, the position holder will be expected to work through most of the summer to support ISL’s Holiday Camp programme. Weekend work might also be required at several points throughout the academic year to support on-campus or external sports events. Flexibility and a hands-on approach are essential to succeed in this role.
