The network electrician installs, operates and maintains the infrastructure that transports electrical energy and data. You help ensure a reliable electricity supply, from power plants to homes, businesses, public transport and outdoor lighting.

This exciting profession combines manual work, advanced technical skills, teamwork and outdoor interventions, sometimes at height. You actively participate in the construction, maintenance and modernisation of the networks that power our daily lives.

Typical work situations:

• Laying, connecting and maintaining low and high voltage power lines

• Installing and maintaining transformer stations and distribution cabinets

• Assembling and maintaining public lighting

• Working on pylons or at height with safety equipment

• Diagnosing and repairing faults to restore power quickly

• Reading and interpreting plans, diagrams and technical documents

• Collaborating with your team on outdoor sites, in all weather conditions

• Strictly adhering to safety rules and using specialised equipment

Required conditions:

• Completed compulsory schooling (middle or higher level)

• Manual dexterity and a strong interest in technology

• Normal colour vision

• Motivation to work outdoors and in a team

• Comfort working at height (no fear of heights)

• Good physical condition, sense of responsibility and precision

• Enjoyment of practical activities and technical challenges

Duration of apprenticeship: 4 years
