Steinhölzli Educational Pathways offers young adults (aged between 15–25 years) with special structural needs training and support for professional and social integration.

Do you enjoy working in housekeeping/laundry and like to pass this on to young people? Perfect! You can expect regular working hours as well as a motivated team that is happy to share its knowledge and train young people.

To complement our team, we are looking for a Laundry Staff Member 80% (Vocational Trainer) from 1 February 2027 or by arrangement.

Your main tasks include:

• Guiding, supporting and promoting apprentices (or those in a preparatory vocational year) in practical work in the laundry
• Taking responsibility for a work area (rotating)
• Keeping observation journals, writing reports
• Co-responsibility for the training of apprentices (practical and written)
• Co-responsibility for the execution of laundry orders including invoicing
• Operating and advising customers
• Teamwork such as exchange, joint meetings, individual responsibilities, goal setting

What matters:

The foundation; You have an interest in and enjoy working with young people with special support needs

Professional basis; completed vocational training EFZ (housekeeping or comparable field) Very good oral and written German skills Maintain a reliable working method with high quality awareness Personal resilience, teamwork skills and good manners

Pedagogical qualification; Completed vocational trainer course (40 hours) or willingness to complete it.

Social competence; Empathy, active listening, patience and frustration tolerance, enjoyment in dealing with young people in their developmental phase, clear and adapted knowledge transfer, ability to support and challenge, appreciation and respect, consistent behaviour, role model function (role awareness)

Communication and support; Clear, appreciative expression, constructive feedback culture, meeting young people at eye level

Conflict and problem-solving skills; Recognise tensions and performance declines and address them de-escalatingly, seek solutions with apprentices in case of difficulties (resource- and solution-oriented)

Intercultural and integrative competence; Openness to diversity, prejudice-free interaction with young people from different cultural backgrounds, school backgrounds or different learning paces

Promotion of team spirit; Aim to integrate young people into the team and create a sense of belonging
