About the job
For an established Swiss company in the packaging industry, we are looking for an experienced individual in purchasing. You will develop procurement strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and identify potential for better conditions and processes.
You develop effective procurement strategies, sustainably optimise cost structures, strengthen the supplier network, and contribute your expertise to the successful further development of purchasing. Together with interdisciplinary teams, you design solutions that have an impact far beyond pure purchasing.
Daily Business
- Monitor procurement markets & further develop the supplier portfolio
- Identify & implement savings potentials
- Build & develop supplier relationships
- Negotiate prices, framework agreements & individual contracts
- Optimise purchasing of repairs, maintenance & spare parts
- Support cross-site projects
- Participate in international & cross-departmental projects
Your Background
- Experience in purchasing within an industrial company, paper / packaging ideal
- Experience in purchasing within an industrial company, paper / packaging ideal
- Further training in purchasing, e.g. certified purchasing specialist with federal diploma
- Negotiation skills, assertiveness & clear communication
- Technical understanding
- Experience with contract & project management
- Good knowledge of SAP
- German+++, English+++
- Interest in digital tools & AI
