Reference: CLS/RH/2026.778 / Contract type: Permanent contract at 90% / Hours: 2 shifts according to schedule 6:45am-3:39pm and 8:00am-4:55pm + one weekend out of two / Start date: as soon as we find the right person / Location: in the heart of Lausanne (M2 stop "Riponne" or Bus 2, 3 or 21 stop "Beaulieu-Jomini")
Why do we need you?
After 14 years of commitment within our institution, our Assistant Housekeeper will soon be leaving her position. To ensure continuity of the Housekeeping Service, we are looking for an Assistant Housekeeper to join our team. Working in tandem with a second Assistant Housekeeper and under the responsibility of the General Housekeeper, you will contribute to patient comfort by ensuring the cleanliness, harmony, and quality of the rooms and public areas.
What will you be expected to do?
- Organise, coordinate and supervise the daily activities of the Housekeeping Service, including opening and closing the service
- Plan and monitor daily, monthly and annual cleaning activities
- Daily check of cleanliness, presentation and layout of rooms, public areas and Clinic premises
- Supervise, support, train and motivate teams to ensure impeccable service quality
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures as well as hygiene, safety and quality standards
- Anticipate and oversee needs for cleaning products, linen and welcome products
- Identify and report anomalies or malfunctions to the relevant departments and ensure follow-up of necessary interventions
- Manage lost property and handle procedures with patients and concerned staff
- Participate in project implementation and contribute to continuous improvement of service operations
- Collaborate with various internal partners, notably for sewing work, equipment maintenance and decoration of Clinic spaces
- Act as a liaison with the General Housekeeper and cover for her during absences, taking on the responsibilities entrusted to her

In this position, you will report to Nathalie Sauder, General Housekeeper for 24 years. She places great importance on supervising and motivating her teams with the aim that they flourish in their work and can give their best to the patients.
What do we expect from you?
Essentials:
- Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as a hospitality specialist or equivalent qualification
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally with supervisory responsibilities
- Experience in supporting, training and motivating a team
- Comfortable with common IT tools
- Excellent organisational skills and rigor in managing priorities
- Attention to detail and constant demand for quality and service
- Kind leadership, with the ability to unite and keep teams engaged, attentive and motivated daily
- Autonomy, dynamism and initiative
- Diplomacy, interpersonal ease and ability to handle varied situations tactfully
- Excellent presentation and strong service orientation
Your assets:
- Knowledge of the medico-social sector or a care environment
- Diploma from a hospitality school
- Knowledge of PolyPoint software
- Sensitivity to decoration and interest in enhancing spaces, especially during seasonal events
