About the job
LGT is the world’s largest private banking and asset management group owned by an entrepreneurial family. As the family office of the Princely House of Liechtenstein, we impress you with many years of experience in managing large fortunes.
The role of Product Owner for our global Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform is responsible within one or more Agile teams for the continuous evaluation of ROI as well as the professional prioritisation of the backlogs. As the interface between business and development, the function ensures that the Agile Release Train (ART) works across teams on initiatives with the highest business value. Responsibilities include defining and further developing the vision and roadmap for our CLM product, specifying requirements, acting as the central contact point for stakeholders, and aligning the products with the corporate strategy. Close exchange with stakeholders and the promotion of agile values and principles are central. Collaboration is close with Scrum Masters/RTEs, architects, and agile teams.
▪ Vision and Strategy: Developing and communicating a clear product vision in line with the corporate strategy. Regularly updating the vision based on feedback and changing market conditions. Collaborating with stakeholders to identify requirements, risks, opportunities, and trends as well as to design seamless end-to-end processes.
▪ Backlog Management and Value Maximisation: Building, prioritising, and maintaining the product backlog or ART backlog. Clear formulation and prioritisation of initiatives, epics, and user stories. Setting priorities based on business value, corporate goals, and technical feasibility. Responsible for the product roadmap and release planning as well as optimising implementation and operation through sprints or programme increments (PI).
▪ Stakeholder Management: Gathering and managing the requirements of all relevant stakeholders. Active management of issues, risks, and dependencies to ensure smooth implementation. Shaping collaboration and feedback loops between business, stakeholders, development, and quality assurance to ensure sustainable value delivery. Promoting consistent customer orientation.
▪ Release Management and Continuous Improvement: Coordinating releases and approvals as well as co-responsibility for adherence to the Definition of Ready and Definition of Done. Responsible for market launch and communication of releases. Analysing KPIs, customer feedback, and market data for continuous product development. Promoting and exemplifying agile principles, continuous learning, and innovation.
▪ Methodical Leadership: Using agile tools to create transparency as well as for planning and documentation. Preparing and actively participating in backlog refinements and workshops.
▪ Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, computer science, business informatics, or a comparable field. A basic certification in SAFe, Scrum, or another recognised agile methodology is advantageous.
▪ Professional Experience: Several years of experience as a Product Owner or in a comparable role, ideally in an agile environment. Profound understanding of the product users and their needs, complemented by domain experience and knowledge of user journeys. Several years of experience in private banking is required.
▪ Track Record: Proven ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and priorities. Demonstrated success in defining, developing, and implementing (digital) products or services. Experience in stakeholder management, requirements engineering, prioritisation, and representing business value.
▪ Technical Skills: Very good knowledge of agile tools and methods. Familiarity with project management software and related tools. Ability to quickly familiarise oneself with new technologies and software applications and adapt to them.
▪ Willingness to Travel: Willingness to travel, mainly within Europe and occasionally worldwide.
▪ Language Skills: Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written.
