ICT System Engineer (m/f/d)

In this role, you will take on system management and ensure the setup, integration, and operation of new systems as well as interfaces across the entire IT infrastructure. You are responsible for the administration and further development of the server and workstation landscape, including virtual desktop infrastructure, monitoring, backup, and cloud management. Additionally, you will manage the network at all locations and ensure efficient patch and operating system management through automated processes. With your expertise in application management, you will integrate software solutions into existing and new infrastructures, significantly contributing to the stability and advancement of the IT environment. As a professional with several years of experience, you bring your analytical and problem-solving skills to reliably and future-orientedly support complex ICT systems.
Responsibilities:
Design and further development of a versatile ICT landscape with responsibility for servers, virtual platforms, endpoints, and cross-system integrations
Ensuring reliable infrastructure operation through monitoring, automated patch management, and professional backup and recovery processes
Support and modernisation of network, VDI, and cloud environments as well as technical assistance in migrating existing services to modern cloud architectures
Integration of new applications and platform services into existing on-premise and cloud structures as well as continuous automation and optimisation of the system landscape
Qualifications:
Completed IT education and at least three to five years of professional experience in system engineering or ICT infrastructure operations; further studies are advantageous
Broad knowledge of server, network, virtualisation, and workplace technologies, ideally with experience in VMware, Hyper-V, HPE/Aruba, Exchange, SCCM, or PRTG
Experience with scripting and automation as well as a strong ability to analyse complex technical contexts in a structured manner and develop sustainable solutions
Independent and team-oriented personality with high problem-solving competence, very good German skills, and ideally good English skills
